Hi there! Welcome to my personal corner of the internet!
I’m Jie Wu, a PhD student in Physics at Chongqing University, expecting to graduate in June 2028. My research focuses on GW modeling, data analysis, and parameter estimation, with particular emphasis on moving-source and environmental effects in compact-binary systems, space-based gravitational-wave detectors, and tests of gravity. In simple terms, I spend a lot of time listening for some of the faintest signals in the universe, trying to understand where they come from, what they can tell us, and how we can detect them better.
I’m especially interested in waveform modeling, parameter estimation, detector performance, and the broader questions that connect gravitational waves to astrophysics, cosmology, and gravitation. Most days, this means working with signals, simulations, and code; on good days, it feels a bit like decoding messages from the universe. On other days, it feels like debugging at 2 a.m. with coffee as a co-author.
Beyond research, I enjoy the kind of curiosity that spills over into many neighboring corners of science and life. I like ideas that make the world feel bigger, clearer, or simply more beautiful.
